Regards,
Mr. K
Once again we are able to offer details of a scholarship; Hartvikson Memorial Scholarship in Memory of Lourdes Llamzon? Our fund holder for this scholarship very much hopes this award can once again benefit students entering into post-secondary studies in the area of agriculture and food systems. We would very much like to encourage students in the Fraser-Cascade School District to apply.
Lourdes Llamzon, who was born in the Philippines, immigrated to Canada in 1970 with her 2 young children to start a new life. She dedicated her life to her family, her community and to make a difference through her work in agriculture.
This scholarship was new for us in 2021 and is offered again for 2022, with deadline for applications being March 9, 2022. It will be awarded to a student (Canadian or International), that is enrolling in a post-secondary institution in Canada studying sustainable agriculture and food systems, and who possesses the character and qualities exemplified by Lourdes Llamzon: dedication to family and community, athletic commitment, high academic achievement, and a passion for sustainable and ethical agriculture. The scholarship may be renewable annually for up to 4 years if the applicant is a full-time student and maintains a post-secondary grade point average of 74%. Financial need of the recipient will also be considered.
More details, the application and referee forms can be found here: https://westvanfoundation.ca/grants-awards/scholarships/. I have also attached a PDF collateral for the award.
Please let me know if this is possible and if you require any further details?
Kind regards.
Christine
